Alyssa has mastered the art of sitting up. She has been trying the past week once in a while with a success. Yesterday she finally mastered it. Now she sits up whenever she wants. She has also been practicing like crazy how to say bye along with her cute little wave…. another of her favorite words is dad. She is starting to get her own little personality and loves all the attention.
Not much has happened in our little world ….. but I wanted to note that Alyssa waves goodbye. She has for a little while…. but now she really understands what it means and waves when we are leaving places or things.
We did get snow the other day and it has been real cold lately. I’m not sure how I feel about snow anymore… when I was little I remember playing out in it for hours on end and it’s so pretty in pictures or looking out at it from my window… but now I just think it’s too cold and messy in my house.
Halloween is as always fun…. this year Emily and Brandon went around Trick-or-Treating with some neighbor friends. They had so much fun.
Emily said she loved seeing everyone’s costumes while they were walking around!
Brandon ate way to much candy and had fun being a firefighter just like his friend down the street.
Alyssa is just the cutest little Pooh if you ask me! :) She loved answering the door with me and seeing all the kids in costumes.

Overall we bought too much candy… gave it all away plus…. and ended up with way to much candy!
Emily’s school did Red Ribbon Week this past week and one day they all dressed up backwards. They were turning their back on drugs!

Just a little side note… Alyssa has started waving. She’ll wave hi and bye… I think it is the cutest little wave.
We had such a fun vacation to Walt Disney World in Florida. The weather was perfect just for us… not to humid and hot but no rain either. It was perfect and loads of fun. I have so much catching up to do to write down all the fun we had in our 8 days.
So reader beware, many pictures and commentary to follow!
For our final day we chose to go back to the Magic Kingdom and spend the day in Fantasyland. Emily was a dressed as a Princess and Brandon had on his Mickey Mouse get up!
We began this day at a Character Breakfast with…
Then we were on to rides and meeting more exciting characters.
While Emily met Princesses…
… dad and Brandon went for a ride in race cars.
Then it was time to meet Mickey and Minnie!
Emily and Brandon loved Dumbo… who doesn’t love flying?
The rides were all so much fun… but Alyssa loved the Tea Cups!
We met Aladdin
and just generally had much fun
The evening ended with a great parade… SpectroMagic
and that wraps up our tip to Walt Disney World! It was great it was magical and we all had so much fun!

When you go to Florida and have such beautiful weather you can’t leave without going to the beach first. We chose to go west to Clearwater Beach. It was a beautiful day and the water was perfect. It was such a fun day, and a great time to rest up a bit from our fun days past and prepare for our final day in this magical kingdom.

Here we are at Epcot…
We loved Under the Sea with Nemo and Talkin’ with Crush
Mike had to wear his BYU shirt cause it was game day in Utah… we ended up meeting some people who wanted to know - how we were gonna watch the game? We couldn’t watch but Mike did listen on his phone. It was a sad evening. 
We walked around the cities and saw many interesting this as we went. Then we watched yet another Firewors show…. Illuminations

During our day at Animal Kingdom we became very well traveled.
We also met some very fun characters.

We saw tons of interesting animals… but missed the cheetas!

With another Parade we saw Mickey, Minnie and friends.
After sitting in the hot sun watching the parade, we moved along to the cool theater where we watch….
Finding Nemo the Musical

After a restful night we were ready for a new day… with new adventures! Here is Mike waiting for the bus that drove us from our hotel to each of the parks.
We started off the day catching Play House Disney Live on Stage. The kids enjoyed this show seeing Mickey and Minnie… Little Einstines… Handy Manny… and all their favorite cartoon characters.
They had so many great stage shows to see at Hollywood Studios… Brandon’s favorite was “Play House Disney”… Emily’s was “Vouyage of the Little Mermaid”… and of course Mike’s was “Beauty and the Beast”
We only rode three rides in this park.
Star Tours - (a classic) Brandon thought it was so cool that we went and flew around in the stars.
Tower of Terror - Brandon was tall enough to go on the ride this time around. They still contine to talk about this ride.

Aerosmith’s Rock n Roller Coaster - The kids were not tall enough for this ride so Mike and I couldn’t ride together… but it was a way fun ride still.
Alyssa found ways to entertain herself through out the day…. here she is playing with her toes.
During the Block Party Bash… much fun was had!
Emily got to dance with this orange monster.
and our Little Green Soldier was the best on of the bunch.
The day ended with another firework and lazer show…. Fatasmic!

This morning we woke and got ready for the day. We got to ride a ferry over to the Magic Kingdom.
Alyssa became a stroller baby for this vacation and she did surprisingly well. She liked seeing everything go by and fell asleep when she needed.

Most of this day we spent running around getting all the big rides. We didn’t spend much time in Fantasy land at all. Emily and Brandon were tall enough for most rides and so they both got to go on most rides, and since we had Alyssa they got to ride most rides 2 times. Once with dad then again with mom!
Emily made a little friend at one point in the day… they ran around this little play area playing and were so sad to part when it was time to move on.
The last ride of the day was “It’s a small World”. Alyssa loved this ride and it was a great rest for all our feet.
Then we were off to find a spot to watch the Disney Wishes Fireworks show.
… and enjoy a Mickey Mouse ice cream cone!
A perfect end to a fun filled day!
